STREET LIGHTS

  • Online Street Light Controller
(Centralized control and monitoring system - CCMS )
  • Saving of electricity is the most important topic occupying the attention of planners, power engineers & consumers. The whole world is facing acute energy and electricity shortage. It is the responsibility of every citizen to adopt energy saving measures.”
  • Basic features of CCMS:-
  • Easy to install due to wireless connectivity
  • Lights can be control as ON/OFF from any central office via computer and mobile
  • Easy data monitoring and data analysis
  • Some parameters like current & voltage limitation can be analyzed on existing system
  • Why CCMS ? measurement
  • Proper illumination gives better uniformity on the roads, leading to increased safety level s on the road.
  • Reduces the wastage of electricity
  • Ease of installation due to wireless system
  • Data compilation, analysis and reporting is easy
  • CCMS
  • This is a standalone unit located at feeder point. It shall have metering capability and electrical switching component with required protection circuitry
  • It shall have a class 1, ISI marked energy meter single phase / three phase as per the requirement
  • The CCMS should be able to monitor voltage of each phase, current of each phase, PF each phase, Metering KWH cumulative, Metering KVAH
  • Further system is able to indicate various faults, failure of contactor, MCB trip, over / under voltage, door open, crossing of thresholds set, status of incoming power supply and disconnection of GPRS connectivity
  • The CCMS device should support collection and reporting of the metering data at every 15 minutes interval. The interval of reporting should be configurable
  • The CCMS should support an auto manual mode to bypass the CCMS and switch over to a manual mode
  • In case of three phase connection, the CCMS should support three contactors for individual control of each phase. The total rating should be at least twice of the desired load to be connected
  • The CCMS device shall have an inbuilt RTC with required battery backup. It should sync up automatically with the centralized server software
  • Internal storage: SD card, 8 GB for offline storage of data such that the data can be send to the server when GPRS connectivity is available
  • The CCMS unit has self-protection from short-circuit, over voltage and anti- theft alert
  • The CCMS unit has a battery back / UPS backup of at least 8 hours
  • The CCMS unit should have required digital input / output and analog input as required
  • The rating of the CCMS units should be twice that of the lighting load
  • Enclosure Box is of seven tank process metal enclosure with proper lock-n-key arrangement
  • The electrical switching components shall be of well-known manufacturer like L&T, Schneider or equivalent
  • The CCMS shall send the data to the lighting management server software over reliable GPRS communication backbone and efficient communication protocol
  • The CCMS unit is capable of switching ON and OFF the lights connected to it ON demand and as well as per schedule configured
  • The CCMS should support over the air remote firmware and configuration upgrade mechanism
